A Thriving Town (Tomstown, Ontario)

Five years ago a wilderness,
Today a thriving place,
Five years ago the Indian
Followed in the chase.

Today we have a daily mail,
And trains that run near bye,
A steamboat service good and true,
Good business they do ply.

Today a bridge worth thousands,
A credit to man's hand,
Across the wide White River
With grace and beauty spans.

All kinds of accommodation
For beast as well as man,
The main road now to Larder,
By all the mining clan.

This place of course is Tomstown,
A town of note and fame,
So come this way to Larder
And make yourself a name.
